Managing your choice

How to change it, and how to clear cookies entirely

Use the banner or preferences control

The banner shown when you first arrived records your choice. You can reopen the preferences control at any time and change it — withdrawing consent takes the same number of clicks as giving it.

Clear cookies in your browser

Every mainstream browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for individual sites. Deleting them resets your choice and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Block cookies by default

You can set your browser to refuse cookies by default and add exceptions for sites you trust. Strictly necessary cookies may be required for parts of a site to function.

Cookies questions

The things people ask about cookie banners

Do I have to accept cookies?
No. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work, but preferences and statistics cookies are optional and you can refuse them without losing access to anything.
Why did the banner appear again?
Because your cookie settings were cleared, or because you are visiting from a different browser or device. Consent is stored per browser rather than per person.
Do you use advertising cookies?
No. This site does not run advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not pass any information to advertising networks.
Where can I read more?
Our privacy notice explains how personal information is handled more broadly, and the Information Commissioner’s Office publishes guidance on cookies and consent.
